5.6.18 Kickstarter Update

Hello Lovelies,

I figured it’s been a little while since I pestered you about my Kickstarter so that’s what I’ll be talking about today ^_^

http://kck.st/2LaXljS — Link to project

There are now 41 days remaining. That’s 41 days to get fully funded or go home. Currently I’m 24% funded so there’s still a fair bit to go. If you haven’t already pledged and you’re able to, it really would mean the world to me.

Plus one of the cool things about Kickstarter is that you don’t pay anything until the project is fully funded. So if you pledge now you wouldn’t have to pay anything for at least another 41 days. Even then it’s only if it’s successful – which I really hope it will be.

If this project is successful it could be the start of some very exciting things. There’s the potential that this project will create a set that gets chosen immediately (super unlikely, but I can dream) and then I’m officially a “Suicide Girl”. From there I’ll be looking to create more sets and get more involved with the SG community in general. Which will mean tons of awesome content for you guys ^_^

So really you lovelies could be setting me off on one of my dream paths.

I’ll likely make a vlog about this as well because I know not everyone likes blogs, so keep an eye out for that.

Quick update on shoots:

I’ve got another shoot with Becky on Sunday, we’re going for a super edgy/attitude style of shoot and I’m really looking forward to it 😀

Have some bonus selfies xD

1.6.18 Thoughts and Feelings

Hello Lovelies, today’s post was going to be about my recent shoot in Edinburgh and technically still is however I won’t really be talking about the photo shoot. Instead I’d like to talk about what I experienced whilst I was walking around Edinburgh getting my photo taken.

I’m going to try not to let this turn into a rant but there’s still a good chance that’s exactly what it will become, so you can’t say I didn’t warn you.

Whilst walking around Edinburgh finding different spots to take photos we encountered some unpleasant members of the public. Always a risk you take when going out and about for a shoot – I know. However I don’t think I should just shrug it off without at least mentioning it.

As we were getting ready to take some photos by a phone box an older gentleman began walking towards us – seeing as we’re nice considerate people we moved out of the way to let him pass – he then began saying something which I honestly couldn’t make out as his speech was very slurred and muddled. It’s likely he was drunk. Which is no excuse frankly. The little that we could make out was along the lines of “grow up”, some remark about what I was wearing and then pointing to my hair. Doing my best not to react we walked away and for a minute he looked like he would follow us. I had said “hope you have a good day sir” because being polite to rude people always makes them mad to which he replied along the lines of “fuck off”. We waited a few minutes and then returned to the phone box to get the pictures we wanted.

Now I know that isn’t very traumatic or exciting but I don’t want to have traumatic or exciting stories when it comes to being harrassed on the street. His behaviour was unacceptable and that’s all I wish to highlight.

A little later we were in Grassmarket and experienced some heckling. This one really wasn’t anything more than a troll but it still irritated me so I’m telling you about it, sorry not sorry.

A gentleman likely not much older than me, I’d guess late 20’s at most, yelled over “I’d love to rub cheesecake all over you” (i might be making it into a proper sentence but the important part was the cheesecake part). This one was just weird. I had no idea how to react to it and we were all baffled as to why you would waste a cheesecake like that. Again I just want to highlight that you shouldn’t be doing this kind of thing.

We also got to experience a stereotype come true when some construction workers wolf whistled at me – that one was quite amusing but still not cool. Honestly I’m just amazed to have lived through that, I thought that only happened in cartoons, tv shows or adverts.

The last negative experience I had with the general public is a little harder to pin down. People were staring. Now again, I’m out in public getting photos taken whilst having blue hair and looking adorable – I should expect people to stare. However it was the fact that so many people were staring and even when I caught their eye to make them aware of the fact that I knew they were staring, they just continued to stare. Plus it wasn’t just during my shoot, it was when I was just walking around with Andy. Even Andy was getting annoyed by the number of people blatantly staring. We both have coloured hair, we’re both used to getting looks off strangers but this was a whole new level and neither of us liked it.

It might seem like I’m getting worked up over nothing and granted everything that happened was fairly minor and I only felt vaguely threatened by the older seemingly drunken gentleman but I hate that this sort of behaviour is normal and that I should expect to deal with it. The other thing to remember is that this happened in broad daylight whilst I had 2 other people with me. So yeah, this turned into a bit of a rant but in fairness I did warn you that it might.

Putting that aside, my shoot went really well. The weather was lovely. Andy and I had some great food and I’m really looking forward to seeing how the pictures turn out.

28.5.18 Recent Shoots

Hey Lovelies, it’s been a hectic week with so many shoots happening very close together and I wanted to keep you up to date so here I go. Fair warning this will be quite long.

Outdoor Shoot – 23.5.18

Photographer: https://purpleport.com/portfolio/krytenphotography/

Instagram: @krytenphotography

This was a bit of a last minute shoot. The photographer I had originally planned to shoot with was unable to shoot as his child had fallen unwell. Which is a shame but completely understandable.

Luckily Bill was able to step in and save the day. He didn’t even fuss about me dragging him all over the country park, including up and down hills that killed both of us. Plus all of the pictures turned out wonderfully. I’m so glad I got to shoot outside whilst it was such amazing weather.

Didn’t get off to the best start. Arrived at the train station early but got on the wrong train which meant I arrived later than I had planned to. Still on time but it meant I hadn’t gotten to do my makeup before meeting up with Bill. He was fine about it though and very patient as I got ready throughout the shoot.

Once we got started properly however everything went fantastically. I felt really at ease and moved between poses without having to think about it too much. Bill gave some instruction for posing as well which was good. It’s always good when the photographer gives a little direction and knows what he’s looking for.

For this shoot I was going for a sort of “festival wear” kind of look, so I had a camo outfit and a sparkly outfit. Haven’t decided on a name for each outfit yet and the shoot changed from the original idea so I don’t think I’ll be using “Festival in the Woods” but I’m sure I’ll think of something.

Camo Outfit – Men’s camo cargo pants from Primark, green crop top from Primark, camo jacket from Primark, blue heart patch saying “go 2 hell” bought from Osiris, Glasgow and wearing classic Doc Martens.

Sparkly Outfit – High waisted denim shorts from Primark (ribbon added by myself when the ripped part got too ripped), sparkly bra top from Primark, camo jacket from Primark and classic Doc Martens.

Dundee Shoot – 26.5.18

Photographer: https://purpleport.com/portfolio/clarknotclarkson

This was my second shoot with John and was about a year after our last shoot. It went really well. I had Andy as my chaperone which was nice as they know Dundee better than I do so I felt far more comfortable. We had to get up pretty early to get the bus on time and I’d been dragged out the night before by my Mum and her friends so I wasn’t the most lively to begin with. But after a few energy drinks and the excitement of a shoot kicking in, I was fine.

John was looking for a more creative style of NSFW shoot so I had brought along some fishnet body stockings which we paired with some of his own art pieces to create some very interesting looks.

I had also decided to try something new during this shoot and I recorded a short vlog about the day which you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1HIYrxJzWY&index=3&list=PLxyWLugwPWkqjHj1ly3ioyCJ6SYTyOvMi&t=0s

However if you want to see the images from the shoot you’ll just have to wait until the set becomes available on Patreon.

Bridal Shoot – 27.5.18

Photographer: Multiple

I was particularly looking forward to this shoot, it was arranged by Little Red Foxes (https://purpleport.com/portfolio/littleredfoxes/ ) who also supplied the wedding dresses and provided a space to get ready before moving to the shoot location. The dresses were really pretty, I was wearing a strapless dress that had a lovely sparkly bust and the other model (Maria – https://purpleport.com/portfolio/mariala/ )was wearing a gorgeous lacy dress with a really long train. We were also given tiaras and veils to wear which really pulled the whole look together perfectly.

We arrived to the location – Govan Old Parish Church – a little too early so ended up spending some time messing around outside taking photos and selfies as the photographers began to arrive. We were also joined by two male models who were acting as grooms or other male roles you’d expect to see at a wedding.

As the wind was a bit chilly I’d put my coat on but this ended up sparking some great photos. A “rock star bride” sort of vibe. That’s what you get when you put a blue haired girl in a wedding dress and let her wander around in her leather coat. Was a shame I had left my Doc Martens at home.

We then moved inside the church to get some more traditional styled photos. If you’ve never been to the Old Parish Church in Govan then I recommend checking it out – it’s beautiful. Plus it’s got “The Govan Stones” ( more info here: http://www.thegovanstones.org.uk/ ).

All in all it was a great day and I’m super excited to get the photos back, I just need to track down all of the photographers haha. You can watch my vlog for this shoot by clicking on this link: https://youtu.be/h7xkoDIn4iQ

Tutored Shoot – 28.5.18

Photographer: https://purpleport.com/portfolio/craigie

This was a very last minute photo shoot, literally arranged the day before at the end of the bridal photoshoot. Anastazia (Little Red Foxes) had been asked to run a tutored shoot at the last minute and asked Maria and I if either of us were available. Unfortunately Maria wasn’t but I was able to attend as it was in the evening.

So I put together a very simple look and made my way to the shoot location, accompanied by Andy -“the best chaperone ever”.

We arrived slightly later than I planned because I needed to eat haha but it was fine, we still arrived on time and got started around the right time. As the weather was lovely we started the shoot outside, wandering around trying to catch the last of the sunlight before then moving back to the control of the studio.

The photographer (Craig) was really fun to work with and really nice so it was a great shoot and I’m looking forward to getting some pictures back.

24.5.18 Vlogging…I Guess

Attempted my first vlog! Finally, haha, after saying I would start doing one a week and never actually getting around to it. So yeah, first little vlog type video is now available to watch on YouTube – ( https://youtu.be/rUUIXJ81ed0 )

Kept it quite short, rambled a little bit about Kickstarter and had a moment of fangirling over Nayru ( https://www.instagram.com/nayru_sg/?hl=en). Nothing groundbreaking but I had to start somewhere. Aiming to make vlogs a regular thing, just need to figure out what I want to talk about and maybe clear a spot so I can have a nice clear backdrop instead of my chaotic room xD

So let me know what you think, should I aim to have longer vlogs or are shorter ones better? Can I just ramble about whatever comes to mind or is it better to pick a topic? Chances are I’ll mess around until I find the best format but input is always appreciated.

If vlogs aren’t your cup of tea that’s fine, I’ll still be posting blog updates on here whenever something comes to mind that I want to share ^_^

I know I’ve mentioned it a lot already but please go check out my Kickstarter if you haven’t already ( http://kck.st/2LaXljS) there are only 53 days remaining.

22.5.18 – Weekend Break & Updates

Hello Lovelies, if you follow me on my other social media then you might have noticed I had a short weekend break recently. It was nice to spend some time visiting family and enjoying the countryside views. As well as getting to dip my toes in the sea for a little bit.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the greatest so I didn’t get the chance to take very many pictures but I’ll share a few selfies here anyway.

One of the fun things I did get to do – despite the weather meaning I really shouldn’t have – was climbing up a big rock outside the cottage I was staying in. I got a few photos whilst climbing and my Mum was kind enough to take some pictures of me at the top of it and as I was coming back down.

I mentioned this very briefly in a short video I took before climbing the rock ( https://youtu.be/WTOy435axzY ) but there is actually a reason I was so determined to climb it before I went home. The cottage I was staying in is owned by my family and they rent it out as a holiday home to cover the costs of keeping it. However when I was younger it’s where my Gran lived. So we had a lot of family holidays there and it became a sort of tradition for me and my sister to climb the rock at least once whilst we were there.

Despite often being told not to and the caravan site next door complaining when we did xD we were rebellious kids and just wanted to have fun. Climbing it as and “adult” however, I realised how absolutely crazy it was to be climbing and then standing on top of this rock – especially as it had been raining the day before so it was quite slippery. So maybe that wasn’t my smartest choice as a kid but it made a lot of great memories.

Other fun things I did whilst I was away included: having a lovely meal with my Mum and getting to see Deadpool 2 ^_^ check out the food pics! It’s a shame the weather didn’t stay nice and that I couldn’t stay for longer but it was nice to get away and recharge a little.

General Updates

I’ve got a photoshoot tomorrow (23.5.18) with Ronnie, as long as the weather is nice we should be getting some fun outdoor pictures for a new photo set. Still working on the name but I’m thinking along the lines of “A Woodland Festival of Ropes”. So there’s a clue as to what to expect if it does go ahead. For more sneak previews and hints about upcoming photo sets as well as access to all of my photo sets in full – go check out my Patreon!

A quick update on my Kickstarter project: we’ve reached 21% of funding and have 55 days to go. If you haven’t already it would be greatly appreciated if you could share my Kickstarter and it would be even more amazing if you could pledge and help me get closer to achieving the funding target ^_^
